Dewi means "goddess" in Bali and refers to Dewi Danu, the Balinese water goddess, and Dewi Sri, the Javanese goddess of rice and fertility. Named to embody this divine feminine force of nature, our plant-based dyed Dewi robe is the epitome of natural beauty.
Made from the softest of fabrics and dyed using 100% sustainably harvested botanical dyes, blended and dipped by hand by our small team of artisans in Bali, Indonesia.
A full-length style of lounge robe that features wide sleeves and our signature Kimono-inspired feature at the front. Designed to be worn open and loose or tied up at the waist, with oversized hidden pockets and a removable extra-long belt for relaxed style and comfort.
Dewi has been dyed using botanical ingredients derived from the deciduous Ketapang tree, which is abundant in Bali. Our plant dye artisans sustainably produce this exquisite black colour by extracting the tannins from the trees naturally shedding leaves.
We have chosen Viscose for these robes as it is a close alternative to silk, offering a similar luxurious drape and softness.
All robes from the Natural Dye Lounge Collection 01 come with a bonus hair scrunchie made from the off cuts of our botanical plant-based dyed fabric, enduring as little wastage as possible in our production process.
SIZE & FIT:
Our lounge robes are one size, with a generous cut that is suitable for sizes 8 up to a size 18 (AU). Length: 145 cms
CARE:
Due to the delicate nature of the fabric and the plant-based dyes, we recommend treating your robe with the utmost love and care when washing and wearing to avoid any damage to the woven fibres and colour. Wash by hand in cold water, avoiding any excessive wringing or twisting. Air dry in the shade – do not tumble dry. Do not use harsh detergents or spot treatments. Press with a cool iron.
